What do you love about your business?
I help people get squared away on their financial plan.  I meet with individuals and couples to discuss their dreams and what they want to achieve in life and together, we create a money management plan that will get them from where they are to where they want to be.  I help to break down complex financial topics into easy-to-understand terms and can show them how it relates to their personal situation.

What do you get out of being a member of YPN?
Meeting young professionals who are starting to think about their financial plan or maybe haven’t thought about it at all, but know it’s something they need to start thinking about.

What is your favorite special event in the region?
I volunteer with the Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe and my favorite event they put on in the summer is the Brews, Jazz and Funk Fest in Squaw.  I help out as a volunteer to raise money for the shelter.

If I weren’t at work right now, I’d be….
Doing outdoor activities near Kings Beach, where I live.  In the winter, I would be on the mountain snowboarding or telemark skiing.  In the summer, I would be going on a hike, mountain bike ride or paddle boarding on the lake.

My favorite time of day is…
Late morning
because…
The day is starting to warm up, morning rush hour traffic is over and people are more pleasant to talk to when their caffeine has kicked in.

If you could take anyone in town out for a cup of coffee, who would it be?
Any female business owner who wasn’t born and raised in the Reno/Tahoe area and was able to successfully build her business.  I’d like to hear about her journey.

To me, networking is about….
Getting to know people more than just on a professional level.  For YPN, it’s making connections with other like-minded young professionals and helping each other grow professionally, personally and in the community.

If you could fix one problem in our community, what would it be?
Finding more ways to empower young professionals to have a presence in the community.  There are a lot of longtime professionals in the area who have built a network, which can make it tough for young professionals to breakthrough.  Continue to educate, motivate and provide opportunities for young professionals to further develop themselves in the community.

If you were a wild animal, which one would you be and why?
A polar bear.  They are described as brave, strong, and a fighter at heart.  I trained martial arts growing up and currently train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  I enjoy being active and outdoors.  I love the cold, and prefer it far over the hot. I am protective over my loved ones no matter what happens and sushi is one of my favorite foods.
