Amy Berry CEO - Tahoe Fund
Helped Tahoe Fund exceed its $1 million fundraising goal for environmental improvement projects in its first year. Previously she was director of marketing for Windspire Energy and led environmental non-profit groups.
Jeff Bryant Executive Director - Urban Roots
Jeff grew community service participation for Urban roots from one staff and 3 volunteers to 27 volunteers and 3 staff in 18-months. He has put Urban Roots on the map as a garden education non-profit with outreach to schools, the university, the agricultural community and many other local entities.
Bram Buckley Associate - Avison Young
By day, Bram is an associate of office leasing. In his 'downtime', he board chairman for the NN Chapter of the American Red Cross, active in the NN New Community Resources housing board and an important member of the YPN community.
Dan Buhrmann VP, CBRE Reno Industrial Services
Dan has 11 years' experience in industrial real estate and was a top producer in Reno in 2009, 2011 and 2012. He serves as a board member and past president of the NN Children's Cancer Foundation and the board of Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful
Dan Carter CPA/Shareholder, Kafoury Armstrong and Co
Dan earned his CPA credentials by age 25 and has an master's degree in accountancy. He is the president of the Community Health Alliance, a member of various CPA organizations and participates in his firm's Make a Difference Day endeavors.
Brittany Curtis Executive Director - Holland Project
Brittany co-founded the Holland Project, a nonprofit art and music space that has hosted more than 300 all-ages art and music shows in the past 3 years. She served on the board for Project Moonshine, the advisory board for the Great Basin Food Coop and on a committee for the City of Reno's Art Education Master Plan.
Doug Erwin VP Entrepreneurship - EDAWN
Doug is an Insignia Member of the Entrepreneurs Organization, State of Nevada 2005 Entrepreneur of the Year, and received the Frost and Sullivan Technology Innovator of the Year Award in 2005. Today he puts his entrepreneurial talents to work, helping to foster our entrepreneurial community and attract new businesses to the region.
David Farahi COO, Monarch Casino
David has held dozens of roles in his eight years with Monarch/Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa and now serves Monarch as its Chief Operating Officer. He is a member of the City of Reno Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board and the Urban Land Institute's Recreational Development Council.
Courtney Forster Associate - Gunderson Law Firm
Courtney serves as board president for the Crisis Call Center, an outreach program that focuses on suicide and abuse prevention. She was named to Nevada's 2013 Legal Elite List and is legal counsel for many commercial litigation matters.
Cristie Gilkey Kindergarten Teacher, Sepulveda Elementary School
With 16 years' experience in the classroom, Cristie recently received the Firecracker Award from her peers for her willingness to help fellow teachers. She is also a Board Member of the Reno Dance Company.
Eugenia Larmore President - Ekay Economic Consulting
Eugenia has provided her research and presented findings to the cities of Reno and Sparks, the Kansas Gaming and Racing Commission, Nevada Commission on Tourism, and Washoe County School District, among other entities. She serves on the board of directors of the Nevada Women's Fund and has been a member of the Women of Achievement Luncheon Steering Committee for four years.
Tony Marini Executie Director - Hot August Nights
Tony is the Executive Director, not only of one of the region's largest special events, but also the Hot August Nights Foundation, which provides resources and funding to children's charities in Northern Nevada. Tony has brought in $14.2 million in revenue and secured a three-year contract with Barrett- Jackson auction company. He also coaches basketball at McQueen High School and for the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows.
Shawn Plunket Owner - 1864 Tavern, Cantina Los Tres Hombres, Cantina Del Lobo, B Street Cafe
Shawn is a Nevada Air National Guardman and has served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Qatar & Puerto Rico among other locations. He not only is a generous bar and restaurant owner, he coordinates donation of his bars' ATM fees to Marvin Picollo School and gives time and money to numerous other charities, such as the Northern Nevada Food Bank, VFW and WARC.
Mike Railey Partner and Founder - Rubicon Design Group
Mike leads land-use planning and site design projects for clients such as Black Rock City LLC and Nevada State Parks. He has served on many land-use agency initiatives locally, including City of Sparks Master Plan Update and City of Reno Transit Corridor Advisory Committee.
Jenny Ricci Principal, Hunsberger Elementary School
Jenni supervises 70 faculty and staff at her school which was a Blue Ribbon School finailst in 2012/13 and has received the WCSD five-star rating twice. She serves on the School Police Hiring Board and the district's Behavior/Discipline Committee. She received the WalMart Teacher of the Year Award in 2006.
Trevor Rice Senior Director of Care Management Division - Access to Healthcare Network
Trevor started Access to Healthcare Network. He received the Silver Star Award fem the Truckee Meadows Tomorrow in 2009 for his work with the Bike to Work Program. He is a member of the Nevada Childhood Cancer Collaborative, the NN Bicycle Alliance and the Nevada Cancer Coalition.
Daniel Ruby Assoc Director - Fleischman Planetarium, UNR
Through his programs, Dan creates team-based engineering projects for students in grades 7-12. He is developing new interactive exhibits and increasing the capacity and management of museum renewable energy projects. He is an active voice for local cycling and is board president of the Reno Bike Project.
Eric Scheetz Construction and Engineering Manager - Truckee River Flood Manaeament Authority
Eric helped cut costs for the Truckee River Food Project by more than $1 billion. He was recently appointed to the South Washoe Citizens Advisory Board and serves with the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is committed to mentoring and is an active YPN member.
Dagny Stapleton Deputy Director - Nevada Association of Counties
Dagny serves as a voice for 17 of Nevada's county governments in the State Legislature. She is the co-founder of the West of Wells Neighborhood Group and receive the Chief's Commendatin for Community Service in 2009 for crime prevention efforts in that neighborhood. She is a commissioner with the Reno City Planning Commission and the Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Commission.
DJ Whittemore Head Baseball Coach - Western Nevada College
DJ founded the baseball program at WNC, including the creation of the $1.7m John L. Harvey Stadium. The team has been nationally ranked for seven years. DJ was namedS Scenic West Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2007 to 2009 and 2011/12. He also serves on the Washoe County Regional Planning Commission.
