RENO TAHOE YPN

In January 2006 at Directions Annual Conference, our community was challenged to empower young professionals to get involved in maintaining the region’s economic vitality. In summer 2006, several focus groups were convened asking young professionals what they were looking for in an organization geared towards them.

Out of those focus groups, the first meeting of the Reno Tahoe Young Professionals Network was held on November 9, 2006, with more than 40 people attending. In February 2007, the group celebrated its official launch with more than 700 regional business leaders.
