Kevin Joell is passionate about getting people outdoors through recreational trails. He has volunteered thousands of hours planning, organizing and leading volunteer trail days to inspire stewardship among trail users. He serves on the board of four non-profits, as well as managing Sierra Sports Marketing, an event production business, and Sierra Trail Works, a trail construction and contracting business. His business promotes about a dozen events per year, mostly mountain bike races, including the Sierra Cup Regional Championship Series and Battle Born Enduro. His events have raised roughly $40,000 over the last five years for trail advocacy. He is also a founding supporter and Race Operations Manager for the Nevada Interscholastic Cycling League which works to get more kids involved in mountain biking.  For his professional career, he is a Fire Equipment Operator for the Reno Fire Department.
