Lauren founded Berkich Family Law (nka Berkich Lucey Law Group) in 2016 on her daughter’s four month birthday. Lauren was looking to continue to work hard as a family law attorney but to have the flexibility to be a mom. Lauren opened offices in Carson City and Reno.

Lauren devotes her practice to all areas of family law, but has a passion for helping clients in mediation and collaborative divorce. Lauren is a board member of the Family Law Section, State Bar of Nevada. Additionally, Lauren is the co-editor of the Nevada Family Law Review-Journal. Lauren is also the Secretary of Nevada Collaborative Divorce Professions.

Lauren is passionate about empowering women. Lauren was President of Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association in 2016, after serving as a board member. In 2018, Lauren co-founded a women-only networking group in Reno called Project Rosie.

Lauren is a member of the Board of Directors of Safe Embrace domestic violence shelter in Sparks. Additionally, once per month Lauren hosts a free legal clinic for victims of domestic violence from the community.

Lauren graduated from Bucknell University in 2006 and from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2011. Lauren began her legal career clerking for the Honorable James T. Russell. Thereafter she worked for a law firm in Reno, prior to opening her own practice in 2016. In 2017, 2018, and 2019, Lauren was named one of Northern Nevada’s Top 100 Attorneys by Nevada Business Magazine’s annual Legal Elite.
