We enthusiastically present Celeste Johnson, owner of The Applied Companies who will be covering the current state of the workforce, how it’s changed over the last decade, new trends amongst candidates and employers, strategies for recruiting and retaining employees, as well as a Q&A!
Celeste is the owner of The Applied Companies (TAC), a local workforce agency since 2002. She has been in the HR and PEO space for over 25 years and worked in a variety of roles, including COO, until she purchased TAC in 2018. Celeste has her MBA from University of Nevada Reno, a PHR designation, is a Vistage International member and is currently on the board of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations.
Celeste was born and raised on a farm in Iowa and has been in Reno since 1996. She is married and has 3 children ages 21, 20 and 18. Along with her husband, she enjoys travel, cooking, exercise and multiday white-water raft trips. She also loves listening to podcasts each morning on her drive to work.
