YeVonne Allen, M.S. serves as the Truckee Meadows Community College Equity, Inclusion, and Sustainability Program Director and Diversity Officer. YeVonne champions the efforts for equity, inclusion, and diversity-related topics for students, staff, and faculty. Recently, she was voted into position as the TMCC Faculty Senate Chair-Elect. She is the first administrative faculty member to have this role at TMCC. 

YeVonne holds a M.S. in Equity and Diversity in Education and a B.S. in Business Marketing from the University of Nevada, Reno. She also holds a certificate in “Strategies for Building and Leading Diverse Organizations” from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government. 

YeVonne, a civil rights advocate, sits on the City of Reno Civil Service Commission and is the Northern Nevada Pride Marketing Director. She volunteers at Our Center dedicates herself to the Washoe County Homeless Youth Point in Time Count. Accolades include the Harvey Milk-Made Award for Community Building in 2014 and 2016, and being Sainted by Reno’s Biggest Little Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. YeVonne believes in change by means of infiltration, presence, and action.
