I started my medical career as a Physician Assistant in 2005. I worked in family medicine & urgent care for 3 years before applying to medical school in 2008. I completed my residency with UNR in 2015. During my time at UNR I was awarded resident teaching honors and I was nominated for awards for outstanding patient care.
After completing residency, I took a position with Saint Mary’s Urgent Care that included leadership responsibilities which soon transitioned into a Medical Director position. In 2015 I also took on a volunteer role as the Assistant Medical Examiner with the Washoe County CARES program where I examine victims of child abuse. In 2016 I was appointed to the PR chair for the Washoe County Medical Society.
I was part of a discussion panel hosted by USA Today on Millennial’s in health care, I have authored articles for Reno Mom’s Blog and I work with the Women and Children’s Center of the Sierras to bring awareness to the work they do to help families in need.
