Chandler Allen is a member of the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone tribe. He served six years in the Nevada Air National Guard during which time he attended the University of Nevada -Reno. He graduated as Top Scholar from the College of Business. He then moved to Washington D.C., where he worked as a Financial Analyst for the Assistant -Secretary of Indian Affairs, Office of Indian Energy and Economic Development. He supported the Indian Loan Guarantee program which provides approximately $80 to $100 million in financial lending support for Native American businesses in Indian country. He then moved to Denver where he served as an Economic Development Specialist for the Division Energy and Mineral Development, which is responsible for energy and mineral development for Native Americans on trust land. During which time, he served as Program Coordinator for the Tribal Energy Development Capacity grant program. The Tribal Energy Development Capacity grant program helps to build business and regulatory infrastructure for Native American energy development. He has now returned to Nevada to be the Economic Development Director for the Fallon Tribal Development Corporation. The FTDC is a federally-chartered corporation wholly-owned by the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe. FTDC’s primary function is to conduct a variety of economic development activities for the Tribe. Throughout his life he has always been an avid outdoorsman and hunter, trying to help support protecting the habitat and our natural resources. He loves playing sports especially for the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe. He has always loved the arts. Some of his favorite artistic activities are painting, leatherwork and wood working. In his free time he helps to support bettering the lives of Native youth through culture, art, sports and healthy life choices.
