Robert Gott for FB and Web

What do you love about your business?  I love bringing our customers to places that they’ve never been right here in our own back yard! It doesn’t matter if you’re going out to the dunes for a weekend or just up to Virginia City for the day, the experience is unlike any other in the area and bringing that to the community makes us enjoy it that much more…

What do you get out of being a member of YPN?  My favorite part of the RTYPN is the other members and how everyone works together to help each other out. My very first event I didn’t meet a single person that didn’t offer advice or services moments after meeting me. The small town family feel is what Reno is all about.

What is your favorite special event in the region?
My favorite event is and has always been Hot August Nights, hands down. It’s such an amazing week for the whole region as it brings multiple generations across the board together and has something to offer everyone. Its a great sight to see my family act like kids as they’re taken back to their childhood and share that with them year after year.

Your favorite time of day is ________, because…
Early morning; I’ve never been one to sleep in and why waste a day? Running a successful business means balance between the work and home life is important.

If you could fix one problem in our community, what would it be?
Direction, drive, and self motivation for our youth to better educate themselves and ensure a successful future.

How would you fix it?
A deeper sense of appreciation for what our community has to offer as the foundation has been laid by previous generations and all the hard work they have accomplished. Very few regions in the US are as diverse as ours both environmentally as well as economically and educating Northern Nevada’s youth to ensure future success would be my number one priority.

If you weren’t at work right now, you’d be …
Outside! With a full 4 seasons and some of the best terrain in the country my wife and I love to spend our time exploring as much as possible. When we can’t make it outside we enjoy working on projects around our home.

If you could take anyone out for a cup of coffee, who would it be? Why?
Elon Musk. Long before his talk of building in Northern Nevada I looked up to him as an innovator and knew through his work one day he’d become a historical figure.

To you, networking is about …
Building relationships and getting out of your comfort zone is what helps us grow and understand the world around us. Meeting new people and learning from each other is essential to building a “brand” and long lasting business and professional relationships.

If you were a wild animal, which one would you be and why?
I would be a bald eagle, because I’ve spent my whole life walking the earth. I’d like to check out the view from their perspective.

If you were a box of cereal, what would you be and why?
Lucky Charms; Who doesn’t want to wake up to a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?

If there was a movie produced about your life, who would play you and why?
Robert Downey Jr.; I get remarks often about similarities to his character.

What was the last gift you gave someone?
We just donated a days rental to the Travis Walker memorial auction for the Walker family. Can’t really call it a gift but helping the community and a family in need is what it’s all about.

A penguin walks through the door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here?  I’m here for the snow cones and a burrito.

If you had a ‘walk out’ song, what would it be?
